John joined Louis T. Roth & Co. in 1976. As a partner, his expertise covers the full range of accounting, tax and advisory services. He is a true superstar in the healthcare, manufacturing, real estate and construction industries.
John began his accounting career in 1972 in Chicago at Interway, Inc. as a staff accountant. In October 1973, he moved to the CPA firm Kaplan & Company. In June 1976, John and his wife, Jackie, moved to Louisville where he joined Louis T. Roth & Co. The diverse accounting experience he has gained over the past three-plus decades has equipped him with the skills and knowledge necessary to meet the individual needs of his clients. John is a man who is dedicated to his family, his job and his community. Here at Louis T. Roth & Co., John treats every client engagement as if it were the biggest project at the firm.
John is also no stranger to the podium. He is a respected professional within the regional marketplace–over the years, John has spoken at several real estate companies. In addition, he has presented to alumni groups on taxes and retirement planning.
John wouldn’t have found his niche in the world without the help of his parents–he credits them with teaching him the importance of hard work. John also credits his wife, who has given him a great perspective on life, teaching John that every day is a gift.
John is originally from Chicago and currently resides in Louisville with his wife, Jackie. They have two children and four grandchildren. Outside of the office, you’re likely to find John training for a marathon or attending a local sporting event. Volunteering in the community is of high import to John and his wife. He is actively involved with Right to Life and the Dream Factory and has accompanied Boy Scouts on trips to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico and Sea Base in Florida. Jackie is the treasurer of the Lifehouse, a maternity home for young women in Louisville, and has counseled young women since the 1980s.
